I listen, guide, and transform
Being a therapist became my true calling after my senior year psychology class when everything just clicked! As a child facing the challenges of immigrating to the United States and later as a young adult struggling to create a fit between my personality and the world I was in, I wished that I had someone to guide me. This further strengthened my passion to become a therapist because I knew what it felt like to face hardships that I did not know how to overcome. I openly assert that I love what I do and you will be able to see that in our work together. I attained my master's degree in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University and my background is in community mental health as well as rehabilitation for addiction.
I have experience in helping adults who are facing difficulty with anxiety, depression, anger, mood swings, trauma, grief/loss, work/ life balance, and substance addiction. I value my relationship with my clients and will work to maintain an open and transparent atmosphere built on the foundations of trust and genuine care.
I specialize in providing emotional and mental support for helping professionals, most specifically doctors, nurses, mental health providers (psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health counselors, substance abuse counselors). I teach ways to unwind the mind in order to prevent interference from work duties in personal life. I also specialize in treating BIPOC in need of assistance with the inequalities of the outside world and intergenerational trauma and trauma within the family.
Therapy will be a journey that you and I will embark on together: a process that I would be privileged to see you through. Are you ready to embark on this journey with me?
